How Can Rates Online Help You?

New Municipal Accounts

Recently Purchased a property ?

Once your transferring attorney has successfully transferred your new property into your name, a transfer letter is forwarded to the council advising council of the transfer. The transferring attorney’s job is now complete and you as the registered owner are now responsible for ensuring that your new municipal accounts are opened in your name and the necessary holding deposits have been raised.

Rates Online can assist in making this task as stress-free as possible. Our Rates Consultants assist with the opening of a new account for all sectional title units for Rates and Refuse and the transferring and linking of Electricity & Water meters for all full title stands. We also assist with your council Security deposits, and hand-deliver all documents for signature to your place of work in order to complete the process for you as quickly as possible. Rates Online will obtain and forward a copy of your new account and ensure that all services are billing correctly.

For Sectional Title Units only a Transfer Letter is required

For Full Title properties we will require a Transfer Letter, Copy of Identity document for all registered owners.

We take care of the rest

Your municipality does not and will not take responsibility for accounts that are not opened on time or at all. If council new deposits are opened late this could result in a huge municipal bill which would need to be settled within 30 days to avoid disconnection. Call one of the Rates Consultants today to get your Municipal Accounts in order.
